I have been a nurse for almost 20 years and in my education role for over 3years. I grew up in nursing as a medical surgical nurse working in all areas including, mostly surgical, moved on to surgical and oncology and the last several years I worked on a more medical unit. I am medical surgical nurse certified and gaining that certification gave me the push I needed to pursue my Masters in Nursing Education. I have always loved to teach and was given the great opportunity to be a preceptor through out my career including senior nursing students. I take all those experience into being the Program director of the New Graduate Nurse Residency program here at Lowell General. I am also an adjunct at our local college teaching fundamentals lecture and skills lab. This is something I have been doing for a while and I really enjoy it. I am a mom of 2 teenage boys who play a lot of hockey so I am on the go when I am not at work.
